Learn in order to evolve and be the best version of yourself
A passion for learning
Throughout my life, I’ve been driven by a deep passion for learning. In school, I found joy in mathematics and foreign languages. I often spent my holidays solving math puzzles and immersing myself in books written in French and English.
As I grew older, I realized that the knowledge I gained during medical school wasn’t enough to satisfy my curiosity or meet the diverse needs of my patients. This led me to explore alternative medical approaches, such as reflexology, clinical hypnosis, and reiki. I eventually included those my practice.
All my patients became invaluable teachers for me, especially those I particularly cared for, that is, those with severe disabilities. They taught me profound lessons about pacience, tolerance and resilience—values that are more crucial than ever in today’s world.
An unexpected transformative challenge
Raising my autistic daughter has been one of the most challenging yet transformative experiences of my life. She has shown me the complexities of caring for a child who cannot communicate, express her feelings, or convey even her most basic needs. She depends on me for everything—from eating, dressing or going to the toilet to letting others know when she feels unwell or is suffering.
This situation has caused me a constant state of anxiety. I had to remain attentive to even the smallest signs of discomfort or change in her behaviour. Yet, because of her, I’ve gained an unparalleled understanding of resilience, adaptability, and the depths of unconditional love.
During a particularly difficult phase in her life—one that lasted more than five long years—I struggled to understand why she was suffering so deeply. Desperate to be able to reach to her, I discovered psychophany. This is a form of facilitated communication that empowers individuals unable to express themselves (but not only) with the gift of words.
Learning this technique was a revelation. It allowed me to understand some of the underlying causes of her challenging behaviors and adapt my approach to better meet her needs. Over time, as she found a way to share her feelings, emotions, and thoughts—even the profound wisdom within her—an incredible transformation unfolded. She became more open, joyful, and tranquil; she gradually found it easier to show her feelings, even if her disabilities and her capacity to talk did not change.
Discovering spirituality
My passion for learning did not stop there; fuelled by all the previous experiences in my life, I was now able to explore deeper realms of understanding—the realms of spirituality. I immersed myself in books on self-development, personal growth and quantum physics; I attended webinars and workshops on the same subjects and engaged in long-term trainings, such as “Happy for No Reason”.
I learned from highly transformative people like Bob Proctor, Mary Morrissey, Peggy McColl, Marci Shimoff, Gregg Braden, Joe Dispenza, and Deepak Chopra, among others. That knowledge began to shift my perspective and reshape my paradigms in profound ways. Each lesson became a stepping stone on a much larger path.
A path yet to be taken
Yet, my journey is far from over. I continue to walk a challenging but deeply fulfilling path of self-discovery. I’m seeking ways to integrate all I have learned into my daily life. Without applying this knowledge in practical, meaningful ways, the efforts to transform into a more whole and awakened being will be in vain. The knowledge I’ve gained is not just something to be stored away—it is a living, evolving force—guiding me, shaping me, and inspiring me— that I strive to embody, one intentional step at a time.
